As mentioned above, welcome to planetsalign.net. We are a pretty new metal band from the south of Sweden. But as every other band says, we are trying to do out of the ordinary. The other ones dont live up to that quote. We think that we do that! We dont care about the borders of music genres. As long as it sounds good it can be "Planets Align". The foundation will always be metal, but there will always be other things involved. Planets Align - Metal with modification, to tell it differently!

For the moment we are unsigned and making all the work on our own - The website, the music (playing and production), the photos and everything else. Of course, its not that we're not looking for a label. But the time have to be right! The new demo of ours will hopefully give us some contacts. To get more information about our music, just check the band section, the tour section and yeah... everything else!

Hopefully you will find our music good and inspiring. If you have anything positive (or negative for that matter) to say, feel free to contact the band both via the guestbook as well as via mail. We are trying to answer all the messages we get so... go ahead! Enjoy!

We have all decided to quit Planets Align!

After some time of huge lack of interest, some time disagreeing about the most kind of things and basically a lack of connection between the band members, we have now decided to QUIT Planets Align for good.

We HAVE DECIDED to still try to finish the record that we have been working with for almost a year soon. Its just some few vocal tracks left, but when that is done, things will probably move on rather quickly. As far as it looks now, it will probably just be released as a web version, and not as printed material.

There was a lot in the loop for Planets Align - Gigs, videos etc. But as it is right now, we are cancelling this and will not focus at the band AT ALL! It is not a definite desicion forever or so - If we change our mind sometime in the future, we might rejoin the band again. But as for how it is right now - this will not happen.

We will get back to you all as soon as the recording is done. The website will be online for another couple of months, but will then be removed together with the rest of all band related web material.

2011.06.29 - New info on the run
We have some decisions about the bands future on the run. We will try to meet, the whole band, and then decide on what exactly we will do in the future and then get back to you all with the info. Stay tuned for more...

2011.06.01 - A bit less positive update
Due to some internal and very personal conflicts we would like to inform you all on that the upcoming recording that we've been working on since last summer actually have been put on ice for a rather uncertain amount of time. We dont know the consequences of this for the moment except that it will delay the release of the album quite alot. It might have even larger impact on the band in general, but until anything like that is confirmed we are trying to look positive on the future of the band, of course.

As right now, we are taking a brake from our relations within the band. In a couple of weeks or so we will schedule a meeting with all including band members, to decide the future of the recording and the band in general. Until then it will be rather quiet (even more quiet than general) from our side. And until then we dont know anything about the future of the recording or the band. Its sad news and we leave it right there for the moment. We will try to solve this as good as we can anyways! We'll get back to you as soon as we have decided on anything at all!

2011.05.20 - Vocal status
Now we have started the recording of the "real" vocals. This far we have managed the clean vocals for two tracks. At this stage it is looking awesome as hell... It will turn out damn great, this!

2011.01.31 - Recording status
Hello... it was quite some time since we updated the website last time.

We are currently working our asses of, trying to get the upcoming album done as soon as possible. Yesterday we finally finished the bass. Now we will do everything we can to be able to finish the vocal structure and then we will start recording the vocals. Stay tuned for more...

2010.09.08 - OUR NEW MUSIC VIDEO!!!

2010.09.06 - Statistics
Just some short info. We just checked our statistics and saw that we have had over 10.000 visitors this far through 2010. The total sum during 2009 was 11.268. Its not awsomely much, but for us; a band that have released one demo, played live three times and that doesnt have a true fanbase - Its pretty awsome! We hope that the visitors will continue to check our site and to be into our music as now!

2010.09.01 - Drums are now done!
Now we have officially finished the studio part of the drums. Three days of constant playing have now resulted in nine absolutely awsome tracks. Now we will begin to check the drum tracks so that everything looks perfect, then we will head on with the guitars etc. This will be awsome! Stay tuned!

2010.08.30 - First day in the studio!

This weekend we actually started to work with the new recording of ours. Everything was set up in the studio last saturday and yesterday (sunday) we fixed the sound of the drums as well as we started to record the first tracks. Two tracks are now finished (with the drums, that is). Theres a lot left to do, both with recording drums as well as cutting/edit the drums. But things will flow pretty well, we think! The recording will continue during the week. We will get back to you with more info, video clips etc along the way! Check our blog to see the "studio diary".

2010.08.25 - THE RECORDING IS ABOUT TO START!
We finally got info about our last studio stuff being sent from Germany this morning. So if everything goes as planned, we will be able to start the recording of the new Planets Align album this weeken, or next weeken at the latest.... Stay tuned, people!

2010.08.19
We just want to tell you all that the final rendering for our new video is now done (we do have a small part left to film, but that will be quite a quickie). We have also added all the clips into the video project. So now we just got a few hours of cutting left before we're finally done. So in the upcoming weeks we should (theoretically anyway) be able to have a video ready! Stay tuned, babes!

2010.08.16
Now almost another complete month have passed by. Due to some other misunderstandings and delays, we had to postpone the recording even more. At the end of this month (august) we will be able to place the order of our new recording stuff. So hopefully we will be able to start the recording in the beginning of september. But nothing is for sure. This is a delay with more than two months for us... But we will sort things out and finish the recording as soon as we can!

Yesterday the final rendering of the vocal parts for our new music video, was done! So thats definitely a step in the right direction. We have some other clips to render as well. These will probably be done during this week. Then finally we have some filming left as well. And that will be done as soon as possible. And yeah... some cutting and rendering of the final product as well. Its not impossible for us to be able to get the new video online in about a month... but we'll see!

Due to some misunderstandings together with the owner of the studio that we planned to enter today, we had to cancel the recording of the drums... which is quite sad. But we have an alternative solution to this. This means that we cant start at the moment, but as soon as we are ready we will start. It will hopefully be within 1 - 2 wekks.

2010.07.07
It was quite some time since the last update. On the upcoming Monday (the 12th) we will start the recording of our new album. Just so that you know. More info will come up later on.

We have now finished the cutting of the band part to our new music video. All effects and such have also been added. And yeah... we are extremely satisfied. So now we just have some chapters left to shoot before we are done with the new video. Some images will be posted soon... Stay tuned!
